Omake, supplement, additional material, accessories, bonus, special feature, extra, something added to something, accompaniment, an item added or served because it goes well with something, something you will get with something (even if you don’t want to), two things that complete each other that make up one integrated body. They are, we can say, one product but based on the totally different proportion’s relationship, based on different hierarchy. It’s coexistance in the same place, in the same time/ relationship in the visible proportion smaller: bigger/ intended to be decorative in nature/ two different things, two different worlds.
For at least the 50 years in Japan, omake of small character figurines and toys have been giveaways that come with soft drinks and candy
(my inspiration: I wanted to create a figure, character based on a typical japanese figures of omakes, girl’s figures as a polish limited edition of omake in Tokyo)
